Hate-crime double standard: Art

There is truth to this. A few years ago there was an art exhibit where a cross was submerged in a bottle of piss. Of course, you had certain types of people praise it for its artistic merit. Whatever, it doesn’t make my heart skip a beat.

Yet riots have happened because Korans have wound up in toilets. Korans dipped in toilet water also don’t cause my heart to skip beats.

But in the court of law and public opinion, the two, quite often, are not treated equal. You’d think in a society created by secularists and Christians, one religion would get the same protections as the one not indigenous to Western society. Or they both would receive no protections at all.
